Meta is projected to surpass Google in global and US digital ad revenues for the first time in 2026, according to Emarketer. Meta is expected to generate 243.46 billion dollars in worldwide ad revenue, slightly ahead of Google’s 239.54 billion dollars, driven by rapid growth across Facebook, Instagram, and AI powered automation tools. Analysts say Meta’s scale, network effects, and strong advertiser performance are pulling more budgets toward its platforms, while Google’s slower growth reflects the complexity of its diversified business. Together with Amazon, the three companies will account for over 62 percent of global digital ad spending in 2026.
