Disney Partners with TikTok to Bring Fan-Made Short Videos to Disney+

Disney and TikTok have signed a deal allowing TikTok creators to bring Disney themed vertical videos directly into the Disney+ app. Through a US only pilot, creators will gain access to Disney assets from hundreds of films and series, including Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. Approved videos will appear both on TikTok and inside Disney+’s Verts feed, refreshed regularly to boost engagement. The companies are also launching the Disney Creator Ambassador Program to support top creators with visibility, exclusive events and rewards. The partnership arrives as Disney explores new strategies for Disney+, including a possible free tier, and as TikTok continues to influence viewing habits across millions of users.
