Apple has rushed out iOS, iPadOS, and macOS updates earlier than planned to patch 29 security vulnerabilities, most of them in WebKit, as AI‑powered hacking tools dramatically accelerate exploit development. Although none of the flaws have been used in active attacks, Apple says the rise of AI‑driven threat automation means it can no longer wait for major release cycles to ship fixes. Several of the patched bugs could allow attackers to install malware or steal sensitive data simply by loading malicious content, making rapid updates essential. The patches were originally scheduled for the upcoming 26.6 releases but were pulled forward due to heightened risk. Security experts note that AI has shortened the window between disclosure and exploitation, forcing companies like Apple to adopt smaller, more frequent updates.
