X slashes posting limits for free users to push paid verification
X (formerly Twitter) has quietly introduced strict daily limits for unverified, free accounts in an effort to curb spam and reduce server strain. Non-paying users are now capped at just 50 original posts and 200 replies per day, a massive drop from the previous platform limit of 2,400 updates. These quotas are also divided into smaller semi-hourly intervals, meaning heavy users may see error messages even before reaching their daily limits unless they subscribe to X Premium, which starts at $3 a month for the Basic tier.
