THE FBI SAYS THESE WI-FI ROUTERS ARE UNSAFE, AND HERE'S WHY
The FBI is warning that a dozen older Linksys routers from the late 2000s and early 2010s are being actively exploited — attackers scan for these end-of-life devices, install malware, and quietly fold them into botnets that phone home every 60 seconds. The catch: traditional antivirus can't detect it since the malware lives on the router itself, not your computer. If your router no longer receives security updates, this is your sign to finally replace it.
