New iPhone Feature Could Lock Your Device the Moment It’s Stolen

Apple is reportedly working on a new anti theft safety measure inspired by Android's Theft Detection Lock to protect user data. The system uses signals such as accelerometer data, distance from a paired Apple Watch, and familiar-location checks to determine whether the device is being stolen. If triggered, the phone locks instantly and restricts access to sensitive areas protected by Stolen Device Protection. The feature is still in development, but code found by 9to5Mac confirms Apple is actively working on it.
