Amazon Greenlights First AI-Generated Animated Series for Prime Video
Amazon MGM Studios and AWS have launched the GenAI Creators' Fund to provide filmmakers with funding and professional AI production tools. As a result, Prime Video has greenlit its first three AI-generated animated series, including projects from the creator of The Book of Life and a former Nickelodeon president. The shows are powered by Project Nara, a purpose-built AI platform running on AWS that integrates with industry-standard software like Maya and Unreal Engine. Although creators delivered pilots in just five weeks, Amazon emphasizes that humans still make every creative decision and real voice actors are used.
