Meta has quietly launched a standalone, AI-powered mobile app called Pocket, bringing the popular "vibe-coding" phenomenon directly to mainstream entertainment. The application allows users to create, play, and share mini-games entirely through natural language text prompts, completely bypassing traditional game engines or coding. Pocket generates interactive experiences called "gizmos" which can range from quirky physics puzzles to artistic mini-games based on user descriptions. Operating as a social ecosystem, the app features a TikTok-like feed where users can play, discover, and remix other creators' games. Built from Meta's recent acquisition of interactive AI startup Gizmo, Pocket serves as a public experimental testbed to gauge if AI-generated entertainment can sustain long-term player engagement.
