Crimson Desert, the long-awaited open-world action RPG from Pearl Abyss, launched on March 19 to an overwhelmingly positive review from Windows Central, which awarded it a "Must Play" rating after 75 hours of play. The reviewer describes a vast, densely packed world rivaling Skyrim and Breath of the Wild in the sense of discovery it provides, with fluid and evolving combat, hundreds of activities, and well-crafted physics-based puzzles. The game isn't without flaws — inventory management is clunky, some mini-games feel underdeveloped, and the character-swapping mechanic lacks depth — but these are minor complaints against a backdrop of exceptional ambition and execution.
