China’s biggest streamer plans AI takeover of filmmaking within five years
iQIYI, often called "China's Netflix," has unveiled Nadou Pro, an AI toolkit designed to automate the entire filmmaking process from scriptwriting to final rendering. The streaming giant aims to release its first commercially successful AI-generated movie this summer, with a debut slate of 16 titles already in production. While Hollywood experiments with high-budget AI projects like Doug Liman's $70 million "Bitcoin: Killing Satoshi," iQIYI is making a massive corporate pivot, betting that AI will create the bulk of its content within the next five years.
