Apple is reportedly testing four different designs for its upcoming smart glasses, which are expected to launch in 2027 and could be previewed as early as the end of this year, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The prototypes include two rectangular frame styles (one large, one slim like Tim Cook’s glasses) and two oval/circular styles (one larger, one smaller), with colors such as black, ocean blue, and light brown under consideration.

Unlike earlier, more ambitious AR/VR plans — which stalled after the lukewarm reception of Vision Pro — these glasses resemble Meta’s Ray‑Ban smart glasses. They won’t feature displays but will support photo/video capture, calls, music playback, and interaction with Apple’s upcoming Siri overhaul.
