Apple Falls Behind Samsung in Customer Satisfaction for the First Time in Years
Apple has fallen behind Samsung in the latest American Customer Satisfaction Index, scoring 80% compared to Samsung’s 81%, marking Apple’s first slip from the top spot since the iPhone 11 era. Google and Motorola both improved to 77%, narrowing the gap as overall smartphone satisfaction rose across the industry. The decline for Apple may be tied to a new metric in the study: AI feature performance, an area where Apple struggled after promoting the iPhone 16 as “Built for Apple Intelligence” before those features were actually available. Despite the small drop, Apple has a chance to rebound at WWDC on June 8, where expectations are high for major improvements to Siri and Apple Intelligence.
