Google has officially started rolling out Android 17 alongside a new Pixel Drop and Wear OS 7 for Pixel phones and watches.

The updated operating system introduces an expanded multitasking Bubbles system, allowing users to turn any app into a floating window. Security and privacy see notable improvements, featuring temporary location access, restricted contact sharing, and biometrically locked lost-phone protections.

Additionally, the Pixel Drop integrates Gemini Omni for video generation and Lyria 3 for music creation on device.

Wear OS 7 introduces dynamic, self-updating notifications for real-time tracking alongside an estimated 10% battery life boost for Pixel Watches.
