xAI has introduced Grok Build, a new coding agent positioned as a competitor to tools like Claude Code, though it is currently limited to early beta access for SuperGrok Heavy subscribers paying 300 dollars per month. The launch comes as xAI attempts to catch up with rivals after internal turmoil, leadership changes, and public criticism of Grok's past misuse issues. The company is also undergoing major structural shifts following its acquisition by SpaceX, which plans to support xAI with satellite based data centers. Despite these ambitions, the merged entity SpaceXAI has reportedly lost over 50 key researchers and engineers in recent months.
