WWDC 2026 (June 8-12) shapes up as one of Apple's most consequential developer conferences in years, with the company needing to deliver on multiple fronts simultaneously. The headline act is "Campos" — a completely rebuilt Siri powered by Google's Gemini backend — which should finally bring true AI assistant capabilities two years after they were first promised. On the software side, iOS 27 and macOS 27 take a "Snow Leopard" approach focused on stability and refinement, with macOS 27 marking the end of Intel Mac support and the last version to include Rosetta 2. Hardware surprises may also be in store, including an updated Mac Studio with M5 Max/Ultra chips and the long-delayed HomePad smart home hub, which has reportedly been ready for months but held back by Siri's delays.
