Anthropic has launched Project Glasswing, a massive joint cybersecurity effort involving Apple, Google, Microsoft, AWS, Nvidia, Cisco, CrowdStrike, JPMorganChase, and others to defend global critical infrastructure using the unreleased Claude Mythos Preview model. According to the document, Mythos has already uncovered thousands of zero‑day vulnerabilities, including bugs hidden for 10–27 years in widely deployed systems, revealing that AI can now find flaws at a scale and speed far beyond human capability. Executives warn that cyberattack timelines have collapsed from months to minutes, forcing rivals to cooperate in what amounts to an AI‑driven “Manhattan Project” for cybersecurity.
