Samsung’s OLED Breakthrough Brings Touchscreen MacBook Pro Closer to Launch

Samsung Display has reportedly achieved over 90 percent yield rates for the OLED panels destined for Apple’s upcoming touchscreen MacBook Pro, clearing a major production obstacle. With mass production now stable, shipments to Apple are expected to begin in June, reducing the risk of delays tied to display manufacturing. However, other supply chain issues, particularly ongoing memory shortages, could still push the laptop’s launch into early 2027. Despite uncertainties, the next generation of MacBook Pros is shaping up to be a significant upgrade, especially with the long awaited move to OLED.
