OnePlus reportedly shutting down in the US and Europe this week
OnePlus is reportedly preparing to announce its official withdrawal from the US and European smartphone markets later this week. According to German publication WinFuture, parent company Oppo is undergoing a major strategic shift, which will effectively end the presence of the once-famous "flagship killer" in the West. While existing devices on the market will continue to receive software updates and technical support through their lifecycles, no new OnePlus products will launch in these regions. The brand will technically survive in China and India, but only as a budget-focused sub-brand selling rebranded Oppo hardware rather than independent flagship models. This exit marks the final chapter in the brand's slow decline since its 2021 integration under Oppo's corporate structure.
