The suit alleges Meta knowingly profited from fraudulent advertisers, citing examples like fake “free government iPhone” offers and AI‑generated videos promising $1,400 checks.
The filing follows earlier reporting that Meta earned billions from ads promoting scams and banned goods, while internal processes made it harder for employees to curb malicious advertisers. CFA argues Meta charges higher rates to risky advertisers instead of banning them, creating a “perverse incentive.”
