Mozilla’s AI Test Finds Hundreds of Firefox Bugs, Declares “Zero‑Days Are Numbered”

Mozilla has declared that Anthropic’s Mythos AI is "every bit as capable" as the world’s top security researchers after a successful experiment on Firefox’s source code. The AI identified hundreds of vulnerabilities, including 22 high-priority security bugs that were fixed before the latest release. Mozilla suggests that AI's ability to reason through complex code at scale effectively erodes the long-term advantage of attackers, who previously relied on the scarcity of human expertise to find rare "zero-day" exploits. Mozilla believes this technology marks a turning point where "finite" software defects can finally be eliminated.
