Microsoft tests deeper Android integration for Windows 11

Microsoft is internally prototyping new features to deepen the integration between Windows 11 and Android smartphones. The experimental updates aim to bridge the ecosystem gap and rival the native connectivity seen between Apple's macOS and iOS. Key enhancements include displaying recent phone activities in the Windows Start menu and allowing users to read messages by hovering over notifications. Additionally, a new taskbar icon will show real-time phone diagnostics, support drag and drop file sharing, and offer quick-toggle commands like Find My Phone. Microsoft is also testing an expanded cross-device clipboard history and considering a standalone messaging application. If these concepts move forward, they will first debut within the Windows Insider Program for community feedback.
