Massive Baidu Robotaxi Outage Leaves Passengers Stuck for Hours

A major system failure caused Baidu’s Apollo Go robotaxis to freeze across Wuhan, leaving some passengers trapped for up to two hours. According to the report, “local police said it was a ‘system failure’ that affected at least 100 robotaxis.” Several vehicles stalled in dangerous locations, including fast lanes, prompting an ongoing police investigation.
