Honor’s Robot Phone debuts with a wild 360‑degree camera gimbal

Honor has officially launched the Robot Phone, a device centered around a titanium automated pop‑up camera gimbal capable of full 360‑degree rotation. The gimbal supports multiple cinematic modes such as tilt lock, FPV view and spinshot, enabling shots that traditional smartphones cannot easily achieve. It also features AI‑powered subject tracking and hands‑free gesture controls for deploying and operating the camera arm. The rear camera system includes two 200MP lenses, enhanced through a partnership with professional cinema camera maker Arri, offering improved noise reduction, dynamic range and RAW output. Honor’s MagicOS introduces YOYO Robot Mode, blending perception, gesture recognition and physical movement, allowing the camera to “wiggle,” dance and respond to commands. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 chip, a custom cooling system, a 7,060mAh battery and a 6.3‑inch OLED display with 6,800‑nit peak brightness. Preorders are live in China with two configurations priced at approximately $1,480 and $2,075. Global availability has not yet been announced.
