First MacBook Neo Benchmarks Are In: Here's How It Compares to the M1 MacBook Air
The first benchmark results for Apple’s new MacBook Neo show performance that is very close to the iPhone 16 Pro, which makes sense since both devices use the A18 Pro chip. Compared with the M1 MacBook Air, the Neo delivers much stronger single-core performance while multi-core results are roughly in the same range, suggesting it should handle everyday tasks very well. Graphics performance is slightly lower than the iPhone 16 Pro because the MacBook Neo has one fewer GPU core. Overall, the benchmarks position the Neo as a capable low-cost laptop aimed at web browsing, office work, streaming, and light AI tasks rather than heavy creative workloads.
