The hinge uses Liquid Metal components for superior durability, but Apple’s quality standards require near‑perfect reliability before moving forward. Despite the issue, the device is still expected to launch in fall 2026 alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, with mass production planned for July. The foldable will feature a 7.8‑inch inner display, 5.5‑inch cover screen, A20 chip, and a price around $2,000.
